A Constru-Rail freight train derailed on Wednesday at around 19:30 near La Marzaniella, in the municipality of Corvera, triggering emergency protocols and the immediate closure of line 750 (Gijón–Pravia).

Cercanías Asturias line C‑4 (Gijón–Cudillero) was suspended, prompting Renfe to implement an alternative road transport plan, which ended at 15:45 today once rail traffic was restored.

Union sources say the uncrewed train ran away and struck the buffer stop. The locomotive, number 315‑005 (formerly 1505 of FEVE), left the track after the impact, partially blocking the main line and preventing other trains from passing. The wagons hauled by the locomotive suffered no major damage despite the incident, according to local press reports.

Official sources confirm that no personal injuries were reported.

Company: Constru-Rail.
