Ouigo España has announced the cancellation of eight trains between Madrid and Andalusia for the remainder of Wednesday following the accident in Toledo province. The measure has been taken in coordination with Adif and the security forces. According to the operator, its other routes are unaffected.

The cancelled services are:

  • Madrid–Málaga: 6508 and 6578.
  • Madrid–Seville: 11740 and 6616.
  • Seville–Madrid: 6507 and 6777.
  • Málaga–Madrid: 6549 and 6619.

Two other Ouigo services operated on this corridor during the morning. The 6476 Madrid–Seville arrived at its destination on time. The 6477 Seville–Madrid departed on schedule but was halted at Puertollano. The operator has announced that its passengers will be transferred to Madrid by coach.

The company says it has informed passengers via the email address associated with their bookings and is awaiting information from Adif regarding services in the coming days.

Ouigo and the SNCF group have expressed their condolences to the families of those killed, their solidarity with the injured and their willingness to work with Iryo and Renfe.
