From Trenvista to Railin: changing to reach further

Miguel Bustos | 19-09-2026.

If you have been following us for some time, you already know that Trenvista has always been keen to grow while remaining clear and straightforward. So, let’s get straight to the point: we are changing our name. As of today, this publication is becoming Railin.

And no, this is neither a whim nor a simple rebrand. It has been on our minds for some time, and the moment has finally come to explain it.

Why Railin?

For years, we have reported on the railway sector in Spanish, but an increasing number of readers are now finding us from further afield: the United States, Asia and other European countries, among others. Many of them speak languages other than Spanish. Between 2025 and 2026, we launched our English and Portuguese editions, both of which have been met with considerable success.

“Trenvista” is a name that has served us very well here, but outside the Spanish-speaking world it does not convey very much, nor does it sound natural in other languages.

We needed a name that could be understood at first glance in almost any language. That is why “Rail” is becoming the central word in our brand: it is short, universal and makes it clear what we are about anywhere in the world. Railin is the next stage in that evolution.

What is not changing

This is the part we most want to make clear: we retain the same philosophy and the same way of working, but with a larger team.

We continue to believe that railway information must be independent, without relying on any institution or interest other than telling you what is happening clearly and accurately. We remain committed to open access: our news will continue to be free to read. And we will remain focused on what genuinely adds value: objective, well-judged analysis in every article, with our eyes on the trends shaping the sector—not merely on the day’s headline.

Railin is not a clean break. It is Trenvista with greater ambition. A global reach. More content.

A larger team, better coverage

Speaking of ambition, we are not entering this new phase alone. A new contributor, José Miguel Vidal, recently joined the team and has already begun writing his first news reports. Over the coming weeks, we will also be bringing a permanent staff writer on board.

This is far from a minor detail: it means we will be able to cover more subjects, in greater depth and without slowing down. Continuity and improvement, at the same time.

Next up: issue 5 is under way

We are already hard at work preparing issue 5 of the magazine, scheduled for publication in early November. It will be the first edition to appear under the Railin name, and we want it to be the best one yet.

Over the coming days, you will see the change reflected across the rest of the website, our social-media channels and the communications you receive. Thank you for staying with us, issue after issue and article after article. What comes next is, quite simply, more—and better.

See you at Railin.
