Semi-private high-speed operator iryo has refreshed the catering offer for its Infinita Bistró fare, drawing on feedback from more than 45,000 passengers. The company has introduced changes to its autumn-winter menu and strengthened onboard service protocols.
New items include lactose-free milk in cartons, single-serve oat milk and brown sugar. The range of still and non-alcoholic drinks has also been widened, liqueurs have been added, and Ribera del Duero “El Búho” joins the wine rotation. Lunch and dinner trays now include a wheat and vegetable salad and a portion of Camembert cheese.
The October, November and December menus prioritise seasonal produce, such as mushroom and truffle cannelloni or braised pork cheeks. The sweet breakfast (freshly baked pastries with butter and jam) and the savoury option (scrambled eggs with bacon and oven-roasted cherry tomatoes) also return, both served with Greek yoghurt, granola and pomegranate.
The Infinita Bistró fare includes at-seat catering, a large suitcase allowance and free seat selection. It also allows passengers to change the ticket holder, amend the departure time on the day of travel or the date by paying only the difference, and travel on another train departing up to two hours later for €10. Refunds of up to 95% are available if the booking is cancelled more than seven days before departure.
Javier Abadía, iryo’s Commercial and Customer Director, said the changes reflect the operator’s commitment to improving on the basis of customer feedback.
